What to Wear in Türkiye (By Season)
Summer (June–August):
• Lightweight, breathable clothing (cotton/linen)
• Sunglasses, hat, sunscreen
• Swimsuits are fine at beaches but cover up when off the sand
• Modest cover-up (scarf, shawl) for visiting religious sites

• Layered clothing (mornings/evenings are cooler)
• Light jacket or raincoat
• Comfortable shoes for walking
Winter (Dec–Feb):
• Warm coat, thermal layers, gloves
• Waterproof shoes, especially in rainy or snowy areas
• Central Türkiye (Cappadocia, Ankara) gets cold; coastal cities stay mild but wet
Mosque Dress Code:
• Women: cover hair, shoulders, arms, and legs
• Men: avoid shorts and sleeveless tops
